What: Free Toy Screening for Lead Event
When: Saturday, December 15th, 9am - 2pm
Who: Anyone Who is Concerned About Lead in Toys
In recent weeks, news related to the alarming presence of lead in children’s toys has been discussed in every media; television, radio, newspapers, blogs, etc. With the holiday season upon us, millions of toys have already been recalled. As a result of this potential threat, EI is pleased to announce a free “Toy Screening for Lead” event to be held at EI corporate headquarters in Morrisville, North Carolina on December 15, 2007 from 9am to 2pm.
EI's licensed lead inspectors and risk assessors will be conducting fast and effective screening on up to 5 toys per family and will be passing out literature regarding lead and its harmful health effects. In addition, EI is teaming with Growing Child Pediatrics, PA to offer free blood lead testing for children under the age of 6 at this event. A local laboratory that specializes in lead analysis will also be in attendance during the screening should parents desire to have more detailed testing performed.
