Success Story #11

General Electric - Environmental Compliance Support

Contracted by GE Energy (GE Contractual Services) to conduct comprehensive environmental, health and safety audits of combustion turbine, cogeneration, and other power plants worldwide operated by GE. EI has developed a detailed pre-audit questionnaire and checklist to support the effective preparation of the audit itself. The completed checklist allows EI's professionals to become familiar with the plant and likely issues prior to the site visit. It also helps the plant personnel to prepare for the audit. This checklist, coupled with the systematic use of audit protocols developed by Standard Technical Publishing (STP), supports the effective use of time (both plant personnel and EI) while at the same time ensures that the audit is thorough and exhaustive.

The compliance audit protocol was segregated into two major auditing efforts, which will be conducted annually at all sites.
