Capabilities: The EI Group, Inc. (EI) has decades of experience responding to water intrusion in all forms, including post hurricane water damage consulting. Our work within a network of engineers, remediation firms and General Contractors allows us to quickly mobilize experienced response teams into action as the need for diverse skills becomes evident. This gives us a strong approach to sensible storm damage response.
Feet on the Ground: EI's disaster response teams mobilized and were onsite in Houston, Texas within 24 hours of Hurricane Ike’s landfall. Our mobile response teams consist of fully self-sustained RV’s staffed with Certified Industrial Hygienists, environmental scientists, asbestos inspectors and mold assessors. These teams maintain a full complement of assessment equipment onsite, including sampling media, moisture meters and infrared and digital cameras. We are teamed with experienced remediation contractors allowing us to provide turnkey clean-up solutions for our clients.
Our Clients: Our clients consist of commercial property owners/managers, municipalities, financial institutions, and retail chains.
Comprehensive Assessment Services: In the wake of any major storm, indoor air quality (IAQ) issues resultant from moisture intrusion become of increasing concern. The EI Group provides comprehensive assessment services, from initial building screening, to air testing, problem building resolution, and litigation support. Our scientists have advised NIOSH, CDC and other federal agencies, on indoor air quality concerns, and have conducted hundreds of problem building investigations.
