Winston-Salem, NC – EI was contacted by Pace Airlines, headquartered
in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in an effort to develop and implement
a hearing conservation program for their employees nationwide. EI
performed mobile audiometric testing at local facilities and created
an online user account for Pace Airlines’ Safety and Health
Department, through which they are able to manage the audiometric
test data for each employee across the country, quickly and easily.
EI received the following letter of commendation from Pace Airlines:
Dear EI,
On
behalf of Pace Airlines, I wanted to thank you for the outstanding
service that EI, Inc. provides. In September, 2003, Pace Airlines
chose EI, Inc. for our OSHA hearing conservation program. It was
apparent to us that you understood our needs, worked with us, made
suggestions and established a relationship.
On
the day of initial testing, we worked with EI technician, John Martin.
We found him to be professional, knowledgeable and eager to assist.
Also we are very pleased with EI Inc.’s audiometric website
(http://assessor.ei1.com). We are using other audiometric testing
facilities in other states. The results are then forwarded to Pace
Airlines and I am entering these tests into EI’s website.
It is very user friendly and results are viewed quickly.
Pace Airlines would recommend EI Inc. and staff to any future client.
Regards,
Rita Simas

2) Watermark, Easley, SC - EI provided a quotation for hearing conservation
services including on-site audio van testing. At that time the company
elected to use a local vendor to provide these services. A year
later we were contacted by the company with a request to provide
on-site audio van testing services. We then provided them with an
additional quotation and testing schedule. The company received
an OSHA inspection at which time they were advised by OSHA that
their current hearing conservation services did not meet the requirements
of the noise standard. They were not given a citation because they
produced the letter from EI showing they were scheduled for audio
van testing.
3)
Serenex, Durham, NC – EI received a call from this Proteomics
company that they needed fit testing for several employees before
they could begin using a new million dollar storage facility for
their hazardous waste. The fit testing had to be provided within
two days. EI provided the fit testing and training the next day
for effected employees in order to accommodate their need to use
the new storage facility.
4)
B3 Systems - Raleigh, NC - EI received a call from an Air Monitoring
Company in Raleigh looking for assistance in respirator fit testing
and respirator training for their employees. The company was sending
their employees to Houston, TX for these services. After discussing
their needs and what types of respirators they used EI was able
to provide them on-site fit testing on an as needed basis. They
have been very pleased with EI’s services, which have proven
to be very cost effective as they no longer have the expense of
travel to Houston, TX.
5)
HCS Medical Systems - Greenville, NC - EI received an urgent request
for respirator fit testing. The company was unable to locate anyone
in their area to provide this service. One employee needed the fit
test immediately, which EI provided at corporate headquarters in
Morrisville, North Carolina. They were pleased that EI could accommodate
them in such a timely manner and contracted with EI to provide respirator
fit testing at their facility for their other employees.

Town of Cary began utilizing EI CompWorks as their workers’
compensation TPA in 2001. In the beginning of the contract the Town’s
replenishment account was established at 2.5 times their historical
average monthly expenditures for workers’ compensation expenses.
Upon re-evaluation two years into the contract, the Town’s
average monthly expenditures had decreased by more than 30%. With
this knowledge, we were able to reduce the monthly replenishment
amount by 30%! Dale Johnson, Employee Benefits Manager, attributes
this reduction to EI CompWorks pro-active claims management and
its’ 24/7 nurse triage approach to management of claims.
7)
EI
CompWorks beats North Carolina average costs by more than 20%.
