Energy Engineer

EI is looking to add the right person to our headquarters team to provide additional technical expertise in selling and conducting energy assessments for clients across the country. 

Specifically, this position will be

  • Supporting the marketing/sales effort to capture work, which may be associated with simple cost savings projects, EPA Energy Star certification, or LEED certification.
  • conducting site energy audits and providing written recommendations with energy, demand and cost reduction estimates as well as capital retrofit cost estimates;
  • analyzing energy data to determine target customer facilities for energy efficiency projects;
  • conducting measurement and verification analysis on already implemented energy efficiency initiatives;
  • Developing energy and demand estimates for annual electric and natural gas budgets.

To be considered for this position you must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years engineering experience and specifically have experience conducting energy audits on commercial and industrial facilities; CEM (Certified Energy Manager), LEED-AP certification, or PE certification is a plus. This position will be expected to travel approximately 10-25%.


Environmental Scientist/Industrial Hygienist - Charlotte, NC

EI is seeking professionals with 2+ years of experience in environmental science, industrial hygiene or occupational safety to support our office in Charlotte, NC. Positions may require some travel.  Experience in conducting Phase 1, Transaction Screenings, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene assessments, OSHA compliance audits and/or asbestos inspections/project designs preferred.

Recent graduates with extensive coursework in life sciences, safety, math or engineering will find environmental consulting to be an extension of the classroom experience and a chance for application of scientific principles.  


Mobile Testing Technician

EI is seeking a highly motivated person to fill the Mobile Testing Technician position.  The individual will be responsible for mobile testing & required to drive a mobile test unit to provide pulmonary function & hearing tests. Extensive travel is required.  Candidate should possess the following skills:

  • Great customer service skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Flexible schedule to work different shifts
  • Ability to drive mobile unit (CDL is desirable, but not required)
  • Previous experience and/or certification is desirable, but not required

EI will train and certify you to help people protect their health in the work place.  This is a great opportunity for those who like to travel.  EI is seeking candidates to be based out of VA, KY, IL, NC or SC. 


Health, Safety and Training Professional - Louisville, KY

Immediate opening for a Senior Safety and Training Professional in our Louisville, Kentucky office. A successful practitioner with broad experience in industrial hygiene, safety and training is needed to expand on our success.  Factors for success in this important position include: performance of industrial hygiene assessments; experience with asbestos training and general industry and construction safety; mock OSHA auditing/inspections; general occupational safety training; developing safety programs, and site safety oversight services.

An Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related degree is preferred. Candidates who are bi-lingual and/or have lead-based paint training experience will receive additional consideration.
