Research Triangle Park, NC - The EI Group, Inc. (EI) is pleased to announce that Business Development Specialist, Allison Cummings, has been elected President of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). Ms. Cummings was nominated and elected by a group of her peers representing manufacturing, municipalities, construction, consulting, telecommunications, and educational institutions in North Carolina.
Founded in 1911, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) is the world's oldest and largest professional safety organization. ASSE's mission is to promote the advancement of the safety profession and foster the technical, scientific, managerial and ethical knowledge, skills and competency of safety professionals. It's 28,000 members manage, supervise, and consult on safety, health, and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government, and education. Ms. Cummings will serve in the President role for the 2010-2011 term.
