INDUSTRIAL VENTILATION DESIGN
Control of airborne contaminants in the workplace requires unique knowledge of the health effects that exposure to specific hazardous substances present to the employee, as well as an understanding of the airborne properties of these specific chemical compounds and particulates. EI’s industrial hygienists work closely with our mechanical engineering team to develop a collaborative approach which can identify the appropriate and most effective ventilation control strategy to mitigate or eliminate exposure to specific airborne contaminants.
Ventilation capture and elimination systems are designed to maintain airborne concentrations for a wide range of toxic/hazardous substances well below permissible exposure limits established by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and enforced by OSHA. Areas of expertise our industrial hygienists and ventilation engineering staff can provide to control exposure to airborne contaminants to airborne concentrations significantly beneath specific short term exposure limits (STELs) and 8 hour threshold limit values (TLVs) established for various substances in the workplace include:
- Exposure pathway assessments
- Regulatory Compliance evaluations
- Industrial ventilation system design
- Retro-design of existing industrial ventilation systems
- Construction/Installation Management
- Industrial ventilation system commissioning
- Recertification of existing industrial ventilation/hood capture systems
- Industrial hood capture evaluations
Call our team of industrial hygienists and mechanical engineering professionals to design/specify a ventilation engineering system that safely protect your workforce from exposure to airborne contaminants!
IN NEED OF OUR SERVICES?
As usual, The EI Group did a wonderful job. The technician that was here was very friendly and professional. Thank you so much for a job well done!Brian Farer
